Well, it's still very early to know which extensions that won't continue to get developed or will be discontinued. This is still very fresh and we have to give the affected developers time to find their solution and not only what the feelings are at the moment. We have to remember that Joomla! has a huge userbase with millions of websites.
It looks like OpenSEF and the developers others extensions have been withdrawed because issues around GPL and Markos resignation from the Core. The amount of users that use Open Sef is huge and I hope Marko can reconsider. It can't been that it was withdrawed because that the licence was incompatible with GPL, since OpenSEF is released under GPL. What I tried to point since you pointed out which extensions weren't availbale either on JED or at all, that Open Sef wasn't published there.
I don't know why Clexus was removed by the developer, if it has with GPL discussion or not, but Clexus was removed for 2 weeks ago, before of the announcement.
We unpublish quite many extensions, both permanent and temporarily from JED because of different issues. It can be based on reports from users and we need to check with the developers before they can be republished. Many times the developer just stop to develop an extension and their site dissapears and then we unpublish it. It's very common that extensions get unlisted from JED, in other hand, we got over 160 new extensions submitted and listed only last month from 3rd party developers where a clear majority were developed with GPL license and other GPL compatible licenses.
I think it's important not to stir up the community. I think we all need some time for to see what happends and talk with the developers. Even if an extensions disseaper today, it can come back later. I'm certain OpenSEF will be one of those since the userbase is just so huge and it's GPL.
