Re: joomla.com hacked?
Images were not deleted, they are still there. However, there is a strange situation, because, instead of images, there are white spaces in FF. When I right-click on image placeholder, then--->show image, the image appears !!!
I've checked the home page only. In IE, it doesn't work, of course...
Have you checked permissions on files and image directory ?

Re: joomla.com hacked?
I have looked for the images on the server and there are not there, I got one of my index.html changed for a hacked page, how can I prevent that to happen? Thanks,

Re: joomla.com hacked?
Now I don't understand you properly, because on the site I've checked (joomla.com), it is not everything fine. Images appear only when I specifically click to see them, but, when I refresh my browser, they dissapear again.
Is there any other site you're talking about ?

Re: joomla.com hacked?
the correct URL is Joomla.org, not joomla.com
there has been some funky stuff going on with the .com for a long time. if you do a search you'll find some useful info.
BUT, the resolution is to use the proper URL: joomla.org
hope that helps!

Re: joomla.com hacked?
Most open source platforms that I've seen end with .org, so that is something to keep in mind when you try to enter in their homepage without Google's help.

Re: joomla.com hacked?
Well, let's get things clear:
I do know where Joomla home is (obviously).
I do know the difference between .org and .com domains.
And now...
In his first post, @jubahn mentioned joomla.com site, and the problem with images.
Then, I've looked there, and, apparently, there is a problem with images there.
So, I've tried to resolve that problem. What other, or "your" sites were "hacked", and what is the relation between your sites and joomla.com
Are you borrowing content from joomla.com

joomla.com and joomla.org is one and the same site. Dot org is apparently the preferred domain.

Re: joomla.com hacked?
both domain names are registered to OpenSourceMatters.
This behavior has been know for literally a LONG TIME.
THERE WAS NO HACKING. So to answer your question, a grand total of 0 (ZERO) official Joomla! sites are hacked.
the problem can be resolved by going to the proper url: joomla.org

Re: joomla.com hacked?
Thanks everybody.
What happed is that my sites have been hacked and what they do is they upload something to the media directory and then they get to delete all the images from my site, so when I went into joomla.com and checked the images did not load right so I thought it was that it had been hacked, how can I prevent the hackers to load to media, they have changed the index.html too, thanks.
