A good component example and tutorial for Joomla 1.5 Topic is solved

Hi Guys

I wish to write a component to integrate PHPGedVeiw into joomla 1.5 with out using Iframes And I am looking for examples and tutorials etc. that I can use in order to do this.

Please can any one point me to the right place to start?

dev.joomla.org is also a good resource - it has various tutorials and references on a variety of subjects.

As examples, the tutorials will serve as examples, but also look at some of the core components.

I thoroughly recommend Joseph LeBlanc's book from Packt Publishing - unlike many other tutorials I have come across, the demonstration component is suitably complex (even though the tutorial itself is very straightforward!) so it is easier to apply to whatever tutorial you are developing.
