If I look at the following posting:
http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,15866.0.html
I am able to download the second attachment but not the first - I get the following message:
Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.
This may of course be a caching/proxy issue but if it is then its not at my end. Can anyone else see the first attachment?
Thanks
Geraint

Re: Attachment download problem?
Thanks for the quick response Brad
I'm still getting the problem (many hours after I first encountered it) on the first link but if I add a spurious parameter to the query (e.g ";x=3") I can get the download.
I have now tried what I should've tried before which is to clear my browser cache - it then worked ok
The next question (OT) is how do you setup Apache to tell a browser not to cache a bad download?

Re: Attachment download problem?
It worked after I had cleared my cache. Rather stupidly I hadn't checked the response headers before clearing the cache so I can't tell you what expiration date was set or what response code my browser was getting from the server.
I did, however, notice that the download counter on the forum was incremented with each failed attempt to download so there was a request being made to ther server, which I'm guessing was telling my browser (Firefox 1.07) that the content hadn't changed.
