Still going slowly for me...
It seems to be the images (buttons, toolbar images) that are going the slowest, and it is only apparant on Joomla.org sites (especially forum).

Even the toolbar, which you'd expect to be cached after one post, hasn't fully loaded yet...

The images are still running slowly as well from here.

This issue is not network related. However we are continuing to monitor and try to locate the root cause.

I've noticed over the past 2 weeks that the forums are running extremely slow during the day.. Its takes a long time to load a page and search through the forums.. Is anyone else noticing this problem??

Ok, this should be fixed now.  We were looking through the Apache error log and discovered that Apache was choking on the size of the DOMLOGs.  We cleaned them out and restarted the web server.  It should be good to go now.

We often have this problem and no matter how often you have  logrotate set to run in cron its not hard to get caught out, particularly with apache error logs which can grow exponentially ina very short period of time. One of the things that always suprises me is the things that start to have problems because a log file is too big. And of course there is the usual gotcha of forgetting that its not enough to ensure you have sufficient free disk soace for your logs as your filesystem will have a maximum fie size as well
