The perfect symbiosis.

The slogan 'Your CMS' works on a number of levels:

- It expresses the developers commitment to the community.

- It provides 'ownership', responsibility, and a sense of individual freedom to the community.

- And lastly, and perhaps more importantly in a corporate sense, it provides reassurance and a sense of intimacy to a newcomer by communicating 'you have come to the right place, this IS your CMS'.

This is the best LOGO graphic and slogan that I have seen so far.  It is a WINNER in my eyes!

Thanks for the nice work!

Is it possible not to use the word simple in any slogan considering it was used in the previous life?  The Open to Everyone is cool.

Keeping with the "Open" theme:

Joomla! Open for business
Joomla! We never close

Hi - I was just looking at all the logo entries and saw one there with the slogan of 'Think Future'.

I thought it would have been better with the slogan 'Thinking Forward'.  A little twist on the forward thinking cliche.  Just a suggestion...

Who needs a slogan.

Looking at Google for

mambo+cms = 2,300,000

In the short period of the life of Joomla:

joomla+cms = 1,130,000

I call that 'going strong' for a 'the better choice'

from a user's point of view who wants to search for a good cms and doesnt know the name joomla, try searching for just "cms" or "content manangement system" .... see how joomla ranks from the rest ;)

There are many good slogan ideas mentioned here. However, I think it would make more sense to see what logo ends up being the winner before picking a slogan. The logo and slogan need to work together to represent Joomla...in some cases the slogan may need to add something that is not conveyed well enough by just the logo; in other cases the slogan can reiterate and help reinforce the same message that the logo is sending.

Not "cms" in it, casual users won't know what it means.
Not "power", not "simple/simplicity", as used by Mambo.
Not "open source", why would the user care?

What does it do? manage content.
so: either, as suggested: "content matters", or "manage your content"..

When, if ever, will there be a poll for this, or will it just remain an ongoing discussion?
Now that the logo will soon be decided, the slogan to go with it would be cool..

Joomla.. nothing fishy here! :D

the hearth of joomla! is the community, so what do you think about this slogan: Joomla! Ccms (Community Content Management System). This community is great (logo competition is an example) so i think we have to exalt this project's side.

The heart behind the development of Joomla! is certainly the community, but an awful lot of sites built with Joomla/Mambo are not community sites at all - I myself have built 7 or 8 sites with it, and none of them is "community" based. I think that when considering a slogan, we need to think about how it's being used more than how it's being developed - since a lot of people who consider using it may not really care that much about the community behind it (at least not at first).
