Here in Australia we will be nearly the last ones who can download.
It will be well into the evening of th 12th of October 2006.

Better wait till Saturday the 14th, after all the day after will be a Friday the 13th!

Hey guys, stop complaining. Who is paying the extra-hours the core team has put into Joomla all last nights and months ?

If you are watching svn progress, there are still tons of commits which are made these last hours, and if you look at bug-tracker:

you will see that there are still some weird bugs that need to be fixed before releasing.
Speaking *only* for myself, I prefer putting in a few extra-hours or days waiting or helping (i chose helping with CB team) for getting something usable than getting something unstable in time.

So please stop spending time complaining about your unpaid extra-hours of waiting, but put those to use for Joomla, helping get beta 1 right.

How ?

Easy enough: get "nightly build" (actually, its builds are triggered more often than each night ) here:

or using the svn method (more complicated)

You will already get something pretty near beta 1 for those that "can't" wait to test and help

and you can post any big bugs you find needing fix for beta 1 on 1.5 Q&T Forum:

to help make beta 1 good for yourself and all others. The best most precise bugs posters (and fix proposers) may receive praises and special invitations to helpout more

What are a few hours or days in comparison of a year or a lifetime (that's the amount of work put into 1.5) of work ?

If necessary I can wait for days too. I am aware of the hard work made. The first important point is not to hurry up for a specific date, before the date "problem" there is the people effort for finishing the work.

It's important to have got a good beta, surely so WE can WAIT without any problem!!

Don't misunderstood me. I meant nothing happened with the Joomla 1.5 release. I am sure they are very busy behind the curtain.
