hi all,
I also know a company who can give you access to book your own domain anytime. That too immediately.
You need to pay them the money (details below) and they will give you domain credits.
Then you can logon to their website anytime using username/password and book your domain immediately.
Their rates are:
1 Domain with 1GB webspace, PHP/MySql etc... at $45 per year.
On their website they have different rates, but I have been booking domains with them for a long time and they give me a big concession.
If you want to check the validity of the provider, visit their website:
http://www.bookandhost.comIf anyone is interested in booking, please let me know and I will help in any which way possible.

I knew it! Past 1am here and less than 4 hours to go until the new name is announced - and I can't sleep for excitement (or should that read, downright curiosity?)
I'm not waiting up to find out what it is, so I won't know until the name has been "out" for a few hours.
This is almost as bad as being a little kid waiting to see if Santa has arrived!
Bye, bye no-name CMS. Hello, whatever-your-name-is.

BTW is that GMT with daylight saving? I'm in Ireland and the clock doesn't make any sense to me. (maybe it's the Guinness!)

It is with daylight savings on.
Best idea, keep the OSM homepage open with the countdown ticker and then even with the Genius inside you still can read the time

With 40 minutes to go before 'Pre-Registration', couldn't the application form have been done a bit more professionaly guys?
There is no confirmation mail as of yet in my inbox that the DEVs have even received my mail with domain names. That default javascript thankyou is no real indication.
What with all of this forking upheaval, stress and worry couldn't someone have at least made the form to send an autoreply.
"Thank you we have received your mail....we will e-mail you @ 17.00 GMT.
When posts here mention server problems with the new OSM site I'm out of nails and toe nails to bite.
Can someone make sure I'm on the list please.
Many thanks.

I am afraid now it's too late!
Relax, and wait! 60 minutes left!

I mean is too late for the Dev team to decide that they had to send a confirmation mail.
Nobody of us received a confirmation mail, as far as I know, because there is not one.
I think is a fault, but we can do nothing than wait 51 min for the mail and 111 min for the official announcement.

Impatience!
The announcement is due at 18:00 GMT, with the pre-announce to domain owners at 17:00 GMT.
As it is currently 16:09 GMT, you have nearly 2 hours till the main event. (Note the difference from BST, daylight-saving summer time, which is what normal people in the UK are currently living with)

For the record GMT was chosen as it is the universal time system. It is now more correctly called UTC or atomic time and the world official clock is here
