How do i instal an extensiion? This may not be the place to ask but couldn't find anywhere else.

Well, what i mean is once i'm in the admin section i go to installers (top menu) but do i select components, modules, or mambots? What does each mean? Right now the extension i want to install is the joomla-SMF (forum) bridge. But knowing what each means would be great!

On the help site (help.joomla.org is a user manual with lots of useful information. As for SMF, did you install SMF first? This is a seperate installation.
