Can we get "clear" file links on the Development site?

I love the layout of the new Joomla Developer site at http://developer.joomla.org/ but I have one issue that bugs me:

When you want to download a file, the link is a PHP link that does not resolve to a "clear" filename URL. I'm using Dreamhost.com as my Web host, and they offer wonderful shell access. Typically, I just right-click on a download link, copy the link location, and paste it into my shell session to wget the file. Being able to use the wget command lets me quickly download files quickly directly to my site without having to first download to my local PC and then upload to my site. The problem is that the file download links on the Joomla Developer do not resolve to wget-friendly links. I know this is kinda esoteric for most users, but having a "clear" file link available would be most helpful.

Comments?

try using lynx, although it is a pain to go through the extra keystrokes to save, filename, etc

I think it is absurd that the tapestry links don't work with wget, isn't this what open source is all about? Time to go file some bug reports.

My main problem with the links generated by the forge are related to the generated URLs when browsing.

Say you are chatting with a developer and want to point them to the URL or a task. These task URLs are generated for your specific session and cannot be traded in this way. Bummer when you need to quickly be on the same item for discussion/evaluation/etc.

I assume this is a java-related URL generator. Is there any way to make it generate more static and precise links to promote this?
