Changing graphics/banners?

I am going through the learning process of setting up sites with Joomla.  I am modifying the default Joomla site that my software came with and can not figure out how to change the large default graphic image on the main page.  It is the large Joomla image.  I would like to insert my own company graphics/logo into this spot.  I have tried looking for it in the html editor, but it appears to be a dynamic code.  I have also looked into managing banners, but it does not appear to be a banner.  I have searched the forums here but have been unable to find the answer.  Thanks for any help.

I'm having the exact same problem and I can't find template/images. How do you find those files?

incorrect path here, should be templates/used_template_name/images , or you could view properties of that image with your browser.

Darius, Thanks for the response. I'm an absolute newbie, a friend did the installation for me. After hours of searching I still can't figure out how to find the files you mention. I don't have a local installation on my hard disk. I'm just working via a hosted web server.

How do I access the files??

Thanks

Never mind.

I got an email from my buddy explaining JoomlaXplorer. Thanks again for the help.
