I'm trying to download, but keep getting Page Not Found errors in both IE and FF.  Link broken?  Or me?

Hmm.. don't know if something changed or if I just didn't look at the error page, but it now says "Unable to connect" in FF.

Its back up now...Download quick before it goes again!! 

I got it.  And untarred to an error of unexpected end of file.  Tried to download again and the server is broken again. 

Maybe Joomla was a poor choice. 

I think I'll go look for someone who can at least manage their servers.

I've been trying to download Joomla for a few days now!

I totally agree, although I don't want anything other then Joomla! (:-*), but please upgrade, software and / or hardware, what if this was a high risk security release 

We've mirroring a bunch of Joomla and extension builds at http://jext.info/ to help out with the downtime.  It looks like the JForge is up again now however.

I just wanted to stop back in and say that I did come back and download Joomla for a try.  There really seems to be an unparalleled amount of documentation available, even if of less-than-perfect quality.  And I must say that I'm pleased with the product and the little bit of testing and modifying I've done with it.  I'll eat crow and say that I'm glad I gave it another shot.

I still can't say the same for the Forge itself, but perhaps regulars get used to that sort of thing.  It's a shame, though.  I suspect that issue would drive away several potential users.  As mentioned by another poster, it's certainly not comforting considering that this could happen with a security release.

Don't worry, we have not missed the frustration etc. It is one of the things we as a team are currently addressing. Please be patient with us, a bunch of unpaid volunteers who are doing their best. Thanks,

Back up the files on a temporary server till you guys can get the old one back! 

If you need the files in a hurry, I'm sure many people will provide mirrors as time goes on.  Remember to verify against the officially published MD5 checksums: http://www.joomla.org/content/view/2496/95/
