Need to vent about the review system

I wrote two reviews ... one months ago praising a portfolio component, which I liked very much ... neither my review nor my (very good) voting was considered.

I recently added a review to a mambot where I mentioned that I would appreciate if there were some examples how to fill in the parameters (because the only explanation given was: Params=whole query string) ... it didn't show up either.

I certainly won't waste my time on writing reviews anymore ... you probably won't care but just had to let it out :)

Hi miss.marple,

We do indeed care about the input and feedback made from the users of JED.  :)

For these particular reviews of yours I cannot tell say why they were not approved. But most likely due to not following the simple rules for having a review approved. You probably use another username at the Extensions Directory so it was not possible to check if these reviews was pending for some reason.
Reviews and Votes are not fully tied together at this stage, so when you submit a vote it will be recorded. Votes are shown when the individual extension has recieved a minimum amount of votes.

Support requests and suggestions should be submitted to the extension owner directly, not in the review system.
Your bad experience here could be related to your reviews being judged as requests, and then was rejected.

Please feel welcomed to submit reviews again  :)

Hi ot, thank you for your answer. Nice to see that not everything is being ignored  :)

If it is not allowed to add a suggestion after telling what has been a struggle
your review system seems to be over-regulated. Sorry, I haven't read the review-rules
(I don't have the time to read every rule that is around) but I know how reviews usually look like ...
I don't think that my reviews were extraordinary in any case. Anyway, I am already over it ...
in the future I will contact the developers directly if it is not allowed to add suggestions how
to avoid problems that I have experienced ... still find this procedure a bit strange

edit:
guess what ... my review showed up today. Ah .. the world is bright again ...  ;D
