Wall of shame ? -Rule of change

There is a forum rule that prevents this forum for being used as a wall of shame.
This is not the place to settle a commercial disagreement for custom development or to be a 'wall of shame'. Any posts deemed to be of this nature will be removed. Settle your disputes in private please.

As a general rule I agree 100% with this rule but...

There have been several cases recently of people using these forums to solicit commercial work etc and then not to deliver it.

As a service to other forum users is there "perhaps" some way that users are warned.

At the least as we currently have a "professional servicces" forum http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board,177.0.html

Perhaps a sticky should be added to this forum that clearly states that people should always seek references etc

I can agree with that. I will see what I can come up with. Thanks for the suggestion!

Dont know if this is possible or not but is there a way to force reading of the "sticky notice" before posting in that forum section.

judging by the number of people who dont read sticky posts in other threads....

I hope this will work for you. (This might get reworded over the next day or so, but the meaning should stay the same)

I do not believe this functionality exists. That is just something that users will have figure out. We can not spoonfeed everything. I "hope" that people looking to hire someone would read the stickies.

Maybe add something along the lines of

"Please note that Joomla cannot get involved in any dispute/negotiation between developers/designers and clients. It is recommended that you clearly define exactly what you are contracting for to avoid and confusion/conflict etc"

Perhaps this mod will do it.
