Hello Friends,

I'm working on a site needs to register conference participants online using a merchant account.  Has anyone been able to come up with a solution?

Thanks,
Mj

We use Phil-A-Form (inexpensive commercial license) for all of our registration-type needs.  We only recently got a merchant account, and so our paymenys have as yet been going through paypal.  I will soon be exploring whether or not this will work with our merchant account on our existing forms for our upcoming event, but wanted to give you a heads up to the product we've ben using for registrations.

Best of luck,
Corinne

There is also the "attendEvent" component you may want to try.

Failing that, EventHQ (http://www.eventhq.co.uk) is available now. This is a stand alone system similar to the Thyme calendar project with a Joomla component that can allow users to display a list of events, tickets and prices with things like early-registration discounts/availability being kept up to date. EventHQ is specifically designed to handle conferences, workshops and seminars and can handle both free and paid-for events.

The component is still in development but let me know if there is interest and I can look at pushing the release out faster.

Cheers, Ianh
