Op dit soort berichten zitten gebruikers niet te wachten. De topic met een opsomming van allerlei componenten en modules was een goed onderwerp waar veel gebruikers wat aan hadden. Opeens was deze weg, alleen een zinloze discussie was nog te zien. Nu een opmerking 'coming soon' met weer een reactie.
Wanneer wordt er weer iets nuttigs geplaatst.

I am not trying to offend anyone. But I think it's very childish to remove info that is used by the whole community because of a disagreement with one person. (Thanks to Google Cache I was able to back them up on my computer). What ever misunderstanding you have with Phil (I didn't completely read that thread) shouldn't have impact on the community. Please Grow UP.
Again not trying to offend anyone, just trying to show another perspective.

I was wondering what was going on! Why remove something that had so much information??? PUT IT BACK PLEASE! This kind of stuff is why I decided on Joomla in the first place. I didn't want to put up with bickering.

This once again highlights why getting a proper topic tree built in to forge is _long_ overdue...
I'd wager this is one of the most heavily hit threads on the boards (I like many bookmarked it). Ken, your work on it is greatly appreciated by many of us.
But this is deja vu to the MamboPortal days when Arthur would get angry.
I'm not going to take sides in this. I'm appreciative to everyone who works on Joomla. But we can't have important resources like these going up and down when disagreements occur... It's not helping anyone. And it hurts our image with newcomers to Joomla.

I couldn't agree more with you. To not only remove threads/posts that are helpful to the group, but replace them with a useless link to a thread where the posts in question have been removed, well to me this is just unbelievably ridiculous.
I hope Ken comes back and explains his point of all of this, because at this point I don't understand it, and can only surmise that this is all just an immature hissy fit, and in my opinion that sort of behavior should not be condoned by the Team. By the Team not addressing this it seems they are condoning it. For shame.

A solution is at hand. I set up a new site for it (before Brad's most recent post
) and have been working as fast as I can to get the info up. The site is:

It was a ton of work, so now I have it up, I'll be continuing to improve and refine things from here on out. The goal is to help you find what you need as intuitively as possible with as few clicks as possible.
Of note:
- Almost every file (like 99.5% of them) now has a download link.
- The info for many of the items on the existing list were updated as I transferred things.
- There's a dedicated search system, so you'll be able to find specific downloads faster now.

I am just a user, not a developer by any means. I'm really grateful that there are folks like everyone here who keep the open source community alive.
All of the effort put in for the benefit of the community is inspiring. May I never, ever, adopt the attitude of taking the open source community for granted. And I hope others who come here looking for free solutions remember the people behind all the 'freebie' stuff. In a world driven by commercialism, open source is a rare gem.
Just wanted to say thanks - and that I try to donate a few dollars whenever I come across a 'Donate' button.

http://www.onestopjoomla.com is going to prove to be an invaluable resource as time goes on. It's really sad to see one of the most heavily hit pages go down over a personal squabble, but alternatively great to see someone else in the community picking it up as quickly as it was dropped.

There won't be any more changes to
One-Stop Joomla for a few days. Probably till after Christmas, because I'll be away till the 23rd. I do want to make everything better and more user-friendly though. In the meantime, if you have thoughts about updating the site or updated info on the downloads, please contact me through the link on the site. I'd appreciate the input.
Thanks for the Donate suggestion, cinder. I would never have thought of it, but might give it a shot as my wife and I are expecting and things are already extremely tight. I have a few days to think about it anyways...
