Registration required to view Demo

Joomla! looks like a great product. There is certainly a lot of press out there. The website is gorgeous.
Trying to look at the online demo or look at the details for the product has been one of the most frustrating online experiences for me! To see the online demo requires me to register to use the Administrative area. If this registration is so important why is there no link in sight?!
I registered in three different places for Joomla! and never did get the right one.
Make it easy to find the registration link if registration is required to view the demo!!!!
Any help would be appreciated.
Richard

Not too sure what the problem is here as the Register Link is off to the left of the article, within the Login Box, on the Front Page that indicates what to do.

I am having the same problem. It won't accept my Joomla forum id/pw. There is no link for registration to access the demo area.
Someone suggested in a different post it may have been removed by a tester.
You should consider locking it down, as I wanted to show it to my boss, and was locked out. It was embarrassing and frustrating, and not a good intro to Joomla.

Hi
Please see following image for on screen details:
Your forum ID and password only work on the forum not on any other Joomla! web site. Therefore a separate ID & PWD are needed for Extensions Directory, Demo's, Help and Developer Sites if you have access
Thanks

Following the link posted above - clicking through from the main
Help Site opens the home page of the demo site and the registration displays as below.
If it is not there when you get there it is because someone else has unpublished it!!

Add the following after the
http://demo.joomla.org/index.php?option=com_registration&task=registerThis will call up the screen necessary.

Andy

If a login is required to access the demo area or the downloads wouldn't it make sense to have a registration link on the main page?
The main page is beautiful. When I clicked on the demo link I fully expected to get dumped into a demo site. Instead I got a message that I needed to register to have access to the Administrative area. Would it not make sense to provide a registration link right there on that page?
If you want more users to take advantage of Joomla! make it easy for them. Remember most of humanity is not as technical as the rest of you all.
Thanks
