I would like to get a message on the main page: Hi [username]

How do I do this?

I'm not looking for an answer as in: 'please search the forum', cause I have done this now already for over 2 hours ...

Are you coding something yourself? This can't be done with default joomla (besides the Hi, which comes forward as a module when loggin in).
