Hi !

If you are not able to check the New Extions in Joomla! Extensions Directory (e.g. 4 weeks) you will miss hundreds of new extensions  :(
This category shows only the last 60 new extensions. Is it possible to have this category for all extensions by date of release?

Mmm is dit ook Nederlands  :-[

Hi!, this is already on our internal "wish" list.

I have a tip for you. You can manually lookup the extensions sorted after ID (in the order they were submitted).

For example, the first extension that was published today has the ID 2570 and gives the following url:
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/

For to see next extension, then you only need to change (increase) the ID in the URL.. i.e. 2571, 2572 etc.

So what you basically need to do before you disappear from internet for 4 weeks, is to note the latest ID number and then when you come back, manually lookup extension for extension. I know it's a little work, but at least it's a way to get around the problem.

I had a chat with a JED colleague today and I guess I must have been mixed up things when I did my posting. It's when you look on therecently updated listings you only can see one page of listings. There we think it would be good to be able to view more extensions.

As you correctly write, you can already now see 60 new extensions. We think it's enough for most cases. If you need to see more back in time, like in your specific case, then I suggest you go through the 60 extensions available, and then do a lookup for the rest as I described in my tip above.

Of course, we are always open for changes and suggestions for to improve JED. But I guess in most cases 60 is sufficient. Sorry for the confusion and counter-answer. :)

I was about to post a new topic when I found this thread. This has bugged me for a long time.

If you look at the New Extensions page, it goes back and shows the last 60 newly added extensions. However, if you look at the Recently Updated extensions, it only shows the last 20. I look at both these pages daily. I still miss many of the Recently Updated extensions. There days where there are more than 20 updates posted just in a 24 hour period.

Example: this morning I went to the Recently Updated page and saw Acajoom had been updated. I did not see that when I checked yesterday morning. I downloaded the update, installed it on my site, when back to the updates page, there were 7 new updates posted in less than an hour!

Would it be possible to have the Recently Updated page show the last 60 updated extensions, as you have the New Extensions page showing?

Some are not actual code updates but image, link or email updates, I thinks this should stop.

We can only agree on that, and work is being done to let the Recently updated only relate to actual version change.
