of course.
i was not suggesting that, merely giving an example of a word comfortable to international audience.

CMS " Do people have a problem understanding the word novice? I'm not sure what else really needs to be said that would describe it. They really don't have to know what 101 means if they read the description, yes?
I know anytime I go to a forum I rely more on the descriptions than the titles so I know a bit more about the intention of the fourm.
Besides the 101 factor, the English used in that description is difficult Engish. I know you consider it easy, because it is the language you have been using all your life. For a non native English speaker, it is not immediately and easily identifiable.
You are quite right in that they really do not have to know what 101 means if they read the description, but human beings cannot live with not knowing. The 101 is begging to be asked of its presence and meaning.
Here would be a typical example script ...
Newbie : Hello, i want to start learning programming components in joomla!...where can i go ?
Promoter : You can go to Joomla! Coding 101.
Newbie : Thank you, but what is 101 please ?
Promoter : 101 means starting or basic level, hence Joomla! Coding 101 means coding for starters.
Newbie : Thank You, nice, is there anything i should read up on to get to know more about 101 ?
Promoter : Well, yes and no...if you want to know the origins of 101 you can Google it, but if you want to learn Joomla! Basics, the forum is there, you go straight in.
Newbie : Ah, i see, so the 101 is the place to start ya ?
Promoter : Ya, ...i mean yes. It's the place to start.
Newbie : Ah, si, gracias.
Here would be an alternative example script ...
Newbie : Hello, i want to start learning programming components in joomla!...where can i go ?
Promoter : You can go to Joomla! Coding for Beginners.
Newbie : Ah, si, gracias.
Personally, i don't mind whatever name given to it. But then that is thinking of myself only.
If i consider international participation, it may require some deeper thinking and adjustments.
I'm not too concerned as nature has it that if its not done here, it will be done elsewhere. Just want to make more friends from all over the planet.
