With a bridge for PHPBB3 and J1.5 in the works, would a recent posts and or PHPBB3 related modules be something we could code as a beginers group?

Interesting proposal.

I went to see what there might be available, already, and it appears they are just starting to build third party modules, as well. I see three listed for phpBB3. There are a huge number amassed for phpBB2. Our communities are, indeed, very similar.

Since phpBB requires their mods be GPL-compliant, we should be able to look at and even reuse (with proper credit) some of that work to help implement your idea.
Doing this might help us get us on rhuk's short list of phpBB testers, as well. Like the idea, tjay! ...

OK it's a lot but why not it covers all areas.

Larry,  Maybe we should start a little slower than that.  I like your thinking but I think we need some easy successes to build our confidence/knowledge level.
