Exactly as the title states, how long does JED approval typically take?

Depends on the workload of the editors. We're all volunteers, doing our best.

Normally extensions would be approved within 24 hours if provided URLs, description, etc.. are all ok.
Been a little busy this weekend, so for once it took a little longer.

Busy is totally understandable. People have lives after all.

I was mainly asking so I can coordinate the JED releases with notices on my site and on Joomocracy.

p.s. I made a special note in them for the ones that require subscription to access. Is that adequate or should I have put something else in there?

I also updated some of my existing ones, two changed from donation ware to GPL (neither requires subscription any more just registration) I don't need to notify anyone about that right?

Yes, and you will get one soon 

The rejection notices, or notices asking for more info are a little late at the moment as we´ve received an unusual amount of extensions that couldnt be directly approved during the last 1-2 weeks.

Lol , ok .. just wondering if there was something wrong (i did not got any "extension is pending" notice, and wouldn't want to spam you with retrys)

thanks anyway for letting us know. Question: since it's a Community builder plugin suite that we tried to publish, how would it fit under the "M" of the main component? Should it not be under CB Plugins with a "S"?

Sorry for asking, but we didn't wanted to spam you with publications of Extensions, and you can check that it's the first plugin we did not get published. We need to know for the future

PS: many thanks for removing that nasty comment on our recently added module, it was really depressing since i thought we published a clean and useful module, with no hidden agenda.

Well, when its submitted as a module, described as a module and submitted in other category than the CB Extension specific plugins - then its hard for us to guess that it could be a plugin for CB, right 

Oh, dam you're right. i was sure we published the CB plugin, but my collegue seems to have put all info to a module so you are totally right. now i feel stupid
