KL_RSSFEED Newsrelease

I posted a news article about our updates for KL_RSSFEED - what happen to it since I submitted it on September 7th.

I notice that some announcements go up and stay there for quite some time. Luck of the draw - I kind of dought it since it seems to be the same person posting to the news site about the products? Is there a ban list that I am part of? I feel neglected every time I post article. Heck I posted it on the 7th so when it gets published - someday down the road it is going to get published down the page - this way no one will know anything about the updates.

It just seems odd that I have this happen to me ALL the time - every article. Not just once - not just twice - BUT ALL THE TIME.

Thanks kindly,

--Steven Pignataro

I suspect news is reserved for the cool-IN crowd. :pop

I can tell you that I stopped volunteering to do the news the last time insults and degrading messages were posted about how the news is done, that it wasn't done fast enough, or funny business was going on.

If your news isn't published, it is messages like the above (and quoted below)  that is the reason why I don't do it anymore at all.

Relax...nothing in that thread was directed at you. Its simple facts. Further, I know Steven is a very nice person, who most likely would not put out degrading messages.

I never have in regards to news not being posted. I am observing it for what it is. A 'boy's club'. That is not a gender specific phrase.....

MMMedia,

There is no rude comments in what I am saying. What I am expressing is something that happens on a continuous basis. Something I believe should be addressed. Many time I post an article they don't get posted till I mention it here on the forums - and this is several days later - several news articles later that have already been posted. Now to me I feel segregated because I am providing something I believe should be noted to the general joomla population.

I have nothing rude to say and my above comments are not rude at all - I am stating bare facts.

Yeah chill out, I didn't insult anyone either - I was just stating that I don't bother. I am a commercial dev and it has been stated time and time again here that I should take my IP elsewhere so why should I bother posting where I am not wanted?

The main reason I am here at the moment is to have informed discussions on the GPL, to try and be convinced that all extensions are indeed derivatives of Joomla. Otherwise you not see me at all.

The people that work on publishing the news are volunteers.  They spend their own time doing it.  It seems that if it isn't fast enough, or done just so, people crawl out of the woodwork to complain, or disparage, or make snide comments.  This is why I don't volunteer for it anymore, I am simply stating the facts of why I personally no longer publish news.

Seems you all took it a might bit personal, I was just using your quotes as an example.  There are others.

Have a great day guys!  :)

Jenny -

I know you've been discouraged. You were trying to explain why in this thread, and sadly, it seems your message might have been missed, even though your point was proven. I know what you've been through. I've seen the posts in the other forum bearing your name. I know your personal phone number was shared during the talks and I know your life and sense of security have been impacted by this. I also know you don't make your living off of Joomla!, you just volunteer for us. So, extra thanks to you and please be encouraged because we wouldn't be who we are supposed to be without you.
@Steven - Have you heard of "Karma?" ???
@Spignataro, Vscribe, Lobos - I was so frustrated when I first saw this that I wrote a biting, nasty, sarcastic response. Thankfully, something stopped me from posting it. :P Does everyone agree, Joomla! has had enough of this? Enough name calling, Vscribe. Enough sarcasm, Lobos. And, while we are at it, Lobos, will you please respect the request to stop posting "what if scenarios" intended to try and find away around Joomla!'s license? Many of us are tired of that.

Listen - if you want things to change, change! Get on board. Help with the work. Who amongst you are testing, reporting bugs AND submitting patches? Which one of you are creating documentation and freely donating it to the community for publishing here at Joomla! forums? Which one of you are spending time helping answer community questions in the Joomla! forums? Who is getting GPL-compatiable extensions ready for Joomla! v 1.5? Who is helping mentor the flood of new developers asking for help?

Which one of you is celebrating Joomla!'s successes with us? Which one of you posted in the forums in celebration of Joomla!'s second birthday? Which one of you posted in celebration of Joomla! making the top 5 for PackT? Which one of you posted in celebration of RC2?

We are a community, first of all. If you want to be a part of Joomla!'s future grab a shovel and help us with the work. Demonstrate that you support this community with your post. This community will support those who support the community.

@Lobos - I do wish for you a great day. I hope that each of you find what you were born to do and do it with passion and enthusiasm and good cheer! Be happy! Life is full of good choices and opportunities, if you choose to see it that way.

If there is something I can do to help, ask me. I am more than happy to try. But, help us, too.
Amy :)

.. and yet, despite the same answer being given to you time and time again, you still continue the harassment.

Honestly guys, you have to find something else to focus on. Still continuing to 'beat up' Joomla and it's volunteers is getting tiresome. Not just one of you, but 3 decide to all chip in and have a go at us.. I do sincerely hope you find something else fulfilling to do with your lives.

Make your choice, if it is not Joomla, then you would be better off just leaving us and our volunteers alone. (or do I recall you have already made your choices?? - if so, these kinds of posts are nothing but trolling: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll )

Amy, these 3 have stated they are not going to change, and don't want to.. it's time to get them to move on and leave us alone.

Time to close this thread, and we're not doing it again either.. post this garbage again, and your thread will just be removed.
