I love the Big Apple and I love Joomla!. I wish I were able to go, earlier this year, I thought I might be able to make this one. 

I am certain it will be a well attended event. There is a very active Joomla! Users Group in New York City.

Well, all the rest of you - have a GREAT TIME in Manhattan - maybe you could broadcast the Joomla! Day New York City LIVE?

I will be attending but, in dire need of suggestions for lodging.  Anyone with suggestions? Where might some others that will be attending be staying at?

So what's this about it being limited to 125 people?

From the registration site:

Registration for this un-conference has now opened, which will be limited to 125 individuals.  Why?  The space we have been offered by Google is limited.

So there are already more than 125 registered. What happens to the rest of us? Do we get free hot dogs at Nathan's or something?

Nice avatar!  So, I went to work yesterday seeing that we had about 112 registrations, and based on the slow pace of adding registrations, I figured it would take a few days to hit 125.  Well, seems like it's moved faster than I had expected!  We're lucky enough to have 150 total spaces available now, thanks to our friends at Google!  Once we hit 150, it's lockdown time. =)

just as an FYI to everyone, the next NYC JUG (Joomla User Group) is meeting on October 11th (the Thursday before hand).  Check out the thread for it at http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,149660.90.html. 

If anyone registered for the Joomla day in NYC, but now can't go, would you PLEASE let me know?  I would really love to go, and didn't realize it was next weekend.  Thanks!
