Should a 1.0.x and 1.5 version have seperate listings?

This is a question I am pondering as I go trhough a cycle of upgrading many of my extensions to 1.5
The code bases for the two are partially different, and development is carried out seperately, and they both have their own issues with the respective J versions.
Especially as 1.0.x winds down in the years ahead development of the 1.0.x versions might stop while the 1.5 continues...
Can I get a friendly word from on high about how I should proceed?
