FYI,

I am sure you get notices like this all the time, but lately the main Joomla.org pages seems very sluggish... most of the time I get the header and the left menu bar but the other content is very slow... just a few minutes ago I noticed a message in the browser waiting on ghana... so I am not sure if your site links to other sites which may be causing the slowdown...

Sorry about taking so long to answer...  I saw that message in the status bar of firefox...  have not seen it lately but I do see it transferring info from http://www.google.com and google analytics (can't remember the url though)

I still see this issue... first it gets data from http://www.google.com... then "waiting for ghana"  message in the same status area of the browser

I'd be checking your system to ensure it is not affected by malware etc.

I found the issue...

On the joomla page it includes this following script

http://www.ohloh.net/projects/20;badge_js

This script then redirects itself to

http://www.ghana.com/projects/20/badge_js

which returns a 404 error

This comes right after the Submit Community News module and right before the maincolumn DIV...

So this not only explains the ghana message but also seems like a likely cause for the delays in loading the frontpage although it may not be the only cause for delays...

Yes, the main page and in particular the forums are becoming very slow to load.
