Our neighborhood association wants to start a tool lending library where neighbors can borrow tools from each other in an organized fashion. I'd like to keep the inventory of tools online so people can add things they have and their contact information. What component might work well for this?

Hmmm ... interesting idea ...
Do you want to be able to check in and check out tools, somewhat like a lending library?

That functionality would be great but not 100% necessary. We saw the idea (tool lending library) in a home improvement magazine.

Hi,
I am not a coder but did find an example of what you may be looking for. It might help someone get a better grasp of what you are after.

There is a project called "medialibrary" on the mamboforge with the following description:
"Medias are: Books,DVD's,VHS,Games,Music Qualified users should be able to add delete medias and lend them out. Normal users can brows your published Media list and propose new or ask you to led them out.". Unfortunately no files are released yet.
However, there is a component called "booklibrary" on the forge as well. Maybe you just need simple adjustments to get the same results (e. g. modifying the language files to read "Tool" instead of "Book Title").
