How to make a site of Complete Works or Songs Collection

Hello

I would like to make a site with a corpus of few thousand songs, divided in a dozen of collections. Left falling navigation, good search and nothing else. Uploading songs manually as contents and collections as categories would be a few months job. I assume there is some easier way.

I would be very grateful if you helped me with this issue.

Create a module using PHP and Javascript for that and install in joomla if you are using joomla. If you don't know how to code PHP forums are better way to solve the problem.

You might try looking into the Sobi directory component.  You may find it modifiable to suit your needs.  There is a plugin for media that is available for it too.

All right, I made it. You can see the site on guslarskepesme.com
I used Mostree (commercial license), a component making possible navigation and search of multiple categories and items. But the most important is its import component, which allows a CSV import. In few days of copy-pasting, I managed to upload more than 1000 songs (some 5000 pages).
So this IS a solution, if the same problem is bothering you.
The component has other nice advantages, but the customer support isn't too responsive.
