Greetings,
I am a developer for the U.S. Baha'i National Center and have just launched the new public website for the Baha'i Faith in the United States using Joomla! at: http://www.bahai.us
The site has multiple content contributors and offers:
This project came along at the perfect time as I was able to watch the split of Mambo and Joomla and make a solid decision based on community support. Joomla has been a wonderful learning experience for CMS development and watching the growth of the community has shown the decision to choose Joomla to be the correct one. Thank you all for the work you do to make open source software available to the world. I look forward to Joomla 2.0 and in the interim to JoomFish being added to the core so we can run the site in English and Spanish. I welcome feedback from this community on our new site and look forward to your comments and suggestions.
The Baha'i Faith is the youngest of the world's independent religions. It is based on the teachings of Baha'u'llah (1817-1892), Who is regarded by Baha'is as the most recent in a line of Messengers of God that includes Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Christ, and Muhammad.
Baha'u'llah taught that there is only one God and one human family, that all religions represent progressive stages in the revelation of God's Will, and that humanity is reaching its long-awaited stage of maturity, when a peaceful and just world order can finally be realized.
