By now, I assume that you have noticed that we have changed some things around here. We have changed our forum from using SMF to phpBB. All of your old settings have been migrated over and no data should be missing. As with anything new, please understand that we will be fixing/tweaking little things over the next couple of days.

If you have questions, please read the FAQs. (They are actually really good)
http://forum.joomla.org/faq.php

If you still have questions or are having a problem associated with the migration, please post a note in the Sites & Infrastructure - Feedback/Information forum and we will try and help you out.

PLEASE NOTE! YOU MUST DO THESE THINGS...
  • Your outbox may be full right now. Please clear it out by going here.
  • Edit your time zone here.
KNOWN PROBLEMS
  • Attachments are not working correctly. We are working on this.

I can't seem to subscribe to forums unless a specific subscribe link is made (as in the description of Annoucements). I've looked all over the page... I don't see a subscribe link in any forum (unless it was specifically made).

It appears the search is busted. If you search, you're given a list of found topics, but clicking the topic just sends you back to the forum listing (it doesn't go to the topic).

Is there a way you can sort of separate the stickies a bit more? They blend in a bit too much :(

Good work though so far!

Everything is fine looks great. Most of the functions are working well except two I have noticed till now. One is "Search" where irrelevant results or no results are shown some times and the other and more important is both my friends/foes (friends/foes lists) died :D or disappeared :( somewhere ;) .

Now I hope they will be back soon.

You're going to love phpBB 3.0
I've worked with it extensively in several production environments.

Nice to see it used here.

the idea and the work done is very good, in an Open source context SMF was a "stranger"...

will the old forum links continue to work?

the blue color links dun contrast well with the grey background for the forum header.

The only issue I have is that the font size will switch from small to big when the page is loading.

Perhaps it is my IE

WOW . . . I was missing you so much in the short time that you were gone . . . but WOW

Very nice...I've only just arrived and am still poking around, but so far, WOW.
You know, I 've had a bit of experience with a few other OpenSource forums, and this one is the most accommodating and friendly I have found. Even as a newbie, I can feel a greater sense of community going on here than I have experienced before.
;D ;D ;D

Hi,

the search seems still is not working. As mentioned before, I search, get a list of found topics, but clicking the topic just sends you back to the forum listing (it doesn't go to the topic). Tried with IE and Firefox. :(

Very good work otherwise!

Good work though so far!
I should like to add my voice to this, it is very difficult to distinguish between stickies and posts and where has the spell check gone?
Otherwise great work team.

Hello,

The search is still not working : the click on a result's link leads to the main page of the forum.

I tried with this search : 'Fatal error: Call to a member function getError()'

Thanks !

There is, actually. The mods/admins need to change the stickies to announcements in MCP. ;D The praises should really go to the two guys who made the SMF 1.1 -> phpBB3 converter, they really did a awesome job with it.

The forum seems clumsier. Also, slower to load. Can't put my finger on it, but "something" isn't the same. However, the questions haven't changed...LOLLLLLL

What can I say?

Thank you, guys! We are a bit more free. Awesome work. I don't feel as comfortable as I used to feel but it's a question of time. Thank you again.

It may just be getting used to it, but there definetly seems to be missing function. Can't find 'New replies to your posts' option, and also posts that you havent read are not automatically set to display as bold and no icon :(
