pass specific user info to wrapper? PLEASE!

I need to pass specific user info to the wrapper. Can I add additional info to the session? I have been unsuccessful at locating the specific code which establishes an authentic session. The PHPSESSID variable does not contain useful info-
Can anyone help please?
