I currently run several web sites for committees which have a large number of working documents etc. The existing html sites use an ever growing 'table of documents'. This is now an unmanageable system so I am looking at using Joomla as a new management system. I need an extension to perform the function I already have but with added-value. A secretary of a committee uploads the documents with indexing info (Document number), Paper title, author, date ,version etc. The members can then search the document listings, index by date, author, title, document number etc. I have been looking through the extensions but have not seen one that may do what what I am looking for. This may be due to my poor searching or understanding of the extension functionality.

Does anyone have any ideas of extensions that might do what I am wanting to do.

PS: Only one person uploads documents and Documents can only be accessed by group members, not the public.
