hi i'm new to the whole joomla thing.. and i need some advice

i want to enable a customer to book an event from my site via a calendar, the customer will choose his start date and end date on the calendar and then will be forwarded to a payment section...

is there any modules or plugins i can use...

basically a date booking and payment module i think....

You can take a look here and see if there is something that might suit the need. You may need some custom coding for what you are looking for. If you decide that you do need something custom, I'd post in professional services and see if you can find someone that could code it for you.
