Overview
Skype's Chat Promotion web application is unable to verify the Skype installation of, at least some, Windows Vista users attempting to enter Public Chats.

Steps to Reproduce
1) Start a Public Chat and push the "Copy link to Clipboard" button.
2) Access the URL and allow the page & RIA to finish loading.

Actual Results
An exception is triggered, directing the user to download Skype.

Houston, we have a problem
You cannot join the chat, because you either don’t have Skype or need to upgrade to the latest version.
Don’t worry, downloading Skype is fast and free.

Expected Results
A Skype chat session should be loaded and made visibe for usage.

Build & Platform
Skype Version 3.6.0.248 on Windows Vista Home Premium

- A fairly inactive thread, regarding this issue, on the Skype website.

I stumbled upon a mention of some Mac users experiencing the same issue. If you are among them, please make some noise, via Skype's Support System. They're utilizing Knowledge Base, Support Request Ticketing System, and forum applications.

I'll keep the Joombie community posted, if further research is fruitful.

I look forward to attempting a workaround, by receiving an invitation from a Joombie who has the room Bookmarked, within the Skype client. If that is successful, I can save the room to Bookmarked Chats and see what comes of it. I'm hoping invitations received, directly in the client, will not be verified by the RIA which fails us (as yet).

You're welcome to contact me (Skype Name: Intellexual). If it becomes more expedient, this can be tested, with any contact. Use a new/different Public Chat, need be.

1) Chats | Start a Public Chat
2) Work your way through the dialog boxes and Start Chart.
3) Add more people to this chat!

Note: It is okay, if both testers are unable to use the Chat Promotion mechanism. That doesn't prevent users from entering chat rooms instanced, as specified above.
