The Joomla Extensions Directory has been updated!

We have updated the Joomla! Extensions Directory today!
We have added some long awaited features like the ability to distinguish Joomla 1.5 Legacy from Joomla 1.5 Native in the compatibility field. We have also changed the license field to only cover the actual license, and "Commercial" and "Non-Commercial" will indicate whether the item has a cost or not.
The developers (owners of the extensions) need to reconfirm the compatibility setting and which license their extensions are and whether they are Commercial or Non-Commercial (free or paid) in the new field.
You will notice that in category lists, latest extension lists, etc, the icon for J 1.0 or J1.5 is now shown where the component, mod, plugin icons used to be.
We will also, as the result of this update process, be able to determine the abandoned projects and cull them from the directory.
We will be adding new, fresh Editor's Picks to highlight the extensions we think best fill needs of our Joomla users and developers, and those we personally can't live without.
We hope you'll find all of these changes useful. The process has been in the works for months and the Joomla Extension Directory editors thank everyone who worked behind the scenes to make it possible.
