Reading Quotes

Post by mark » Fri Aug 19, 2005 12:06 pm

Great what you are doing here and I 'm sure it is the least of your worries right now but some parts of the the forum board are hard to read.  In particular it is hard to read quotes in posts against the purple background!

Any chance of changing the colour scheme - or at least that bit of it.  It's gona be really hard when we get more people quoting bits of code from each others posts otherwise!

Agree 100%

And Verdana is easier to read than Tahoma at these small sizes ( 9pt 8pt - too small !!!)

Old forum text was 10pt Verdana - absolute minimum size for online reading.

All text on white backgrounds.

One thing vBulletin has done is spent the money on usability work.

“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”

Actually, this is a theme issue which can be easily fixed in style.css.  ;)

Will pass this on to our style/graphics experts, as I happen to agree

I like the smaller text quite frankly. If it wouldn't be too much work it would be nice to link a CSS setting to a selection in your profile for text sizes. Those who like it smaller can have it small, those in the middle, middle and for those whol like it large, large.
