in any forums, the most thread must be related to technical support or technical issues or troubleshooting such as installation,temlates,etc...
i want to suggest if any thread regarding technical question is solved, the topic creator must modify the first thread title and put [RESOLVED] at the end of the thread subject title. for those who are active and familiar with programming forum, this way can help all the users better and quicker. [RESOLVED] at the end of the subject title can help users to find any problem similar to what they are facing which has been resolved. this can reduce their time finding thread which i can guarantee will be bigger and not impossible contains more than one same topic. so if they see [RESOLVED] they know the problem has solution and dont waste time finding other thread. i already started at
http://forum.opensourcematters.org/index.php/topic,3524.0.html

lets make joomla forum more organize and standard than mamboserver.
so what do you guys say??agree?

We use a green check mark message icon at simplemachines.org.  Same idea.

You're a mind reader. I was just thinking of the same thing. Okay, will change the subjects that I personally started. Thanks apex.

There is a mod for SMF that alows a poster to accept or reject another persons post as an answer, therefore leaving the topic 'solved'.  Not sure if it does anything to edit the topic, but I bet it could be modified to.

I have taken note of these suggestions... we still have plenty to do, ie moving the forums, new template, etc etc but after that I will take a look further at some of these excellent suggestions.

I think these suggestions would certainly help people in finding solutions in these forums.

May I also add, the Faq's are going to be better than ever when we get things in order over here.

But the [resolved] tag is a good suggestion.
