I know that there is someone learned out there that will be able to help me with my problem!!

I am trying to get the latest Zoom Gallery source code via CVS and for the life of me I have been unable to successfully checkout the files.

I have tried via CVS from terminal on an iMac and in Windows via Tortoise CVS client, but seem to get the same error.

The Settings that I am using are as follows: -

:ext:[email protected]:/cvsroot/zoom
Module name : zoom

The error message that I am getting in both clients is: -

In C:\Documents and Settings\carrg\Desktop\New Folder: "C:\Program Files\TortoiseCVS\cvs.exe" "-q" "checkout" "-P" "zoom"
CVSROOT=:ext:[email protected]:/cvsroot/zoom

cvs.exe [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

Error, CVS operation failed

If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it as I am having various problems with Zoom that according to posts on the board have been resolved in the latest CVS version.

Joomla doesn't use CVS anymore, it is using SVN nowadays. For this you would have to install ToroiseSVN. Second, Zoom is an external application, not developed by the Joomla core dev team. My advise it to take a look at the zoom webzite at http://www.zoomfactory.org.

I have now got TortoiseSVN and have searched zoomfactory forums for any information regarding a SVN Repository URL for the Zoom Project but have found nothing. I have posted requesting if anyone else knows what it is but have yet to get a reply. Is there any other way to find out what the URL is or if a repository for this project even exists?

I use LinCVS and I'm able to check-out the files.
CVS server: scm.joomla.org
CVS repository: /cvsroot/zoom
CVS access: Remote shell (?)

Finally worked out what I was doing wrong, as I am new to the whole CVS and SVN thing I was unaware that I needed to open up a specific port on my firewall for CVS traffic!! Once I did that I was able to connect and checkout the files. Just to let Tonie know that it seems as though Joomla are still using CVS for some projects as I definately checked out the Zoom Gallery files with CVS.
