Stuff to Add to the Site

Just did my first installation as an absolute noob.
It wasn't easy. I had to have help.
I used this site: http://help.joomla.org/content/category/15/99/132/
But had a heck of a lot of problems. These are stupid end user problems, but ordinary users are the ones likely to get the a lot out of Joomla IMO.
So maybe you can add these when you do a revision of the install docs? Here were the problems I had.
1) Not 100% clear which file to download
2) Not clear that I had to unzip the file to my local comp.
3) Not clear where to upload the files on my host's server. Which directory? How to upload w. FTP, etc.
4) Then, finally, I got to the browser install, and I had this question: how do you fix "session save unwriteable"? I spent a long time trying to figure out I didn't need to do anything. I didn't realize I could just ignore that warning and continue with the installation. I nearly messed up the installation at that point.
5) I didn't know what I should enter for "db_name". There were no instructions for that. So without help I would have been helpless. It would have helped to get instructions on how to do create a db with cpanel, etc. and what I should name this database.
6) Last but not least, I didn't know which installation directory to delete.
I hope this helps.
