Is anybody else having trouble browsing the forums this morning?

Every now and again the site seems to go down for me - is this because of too much traffic?

OSM forums? Haven't had any problem with them ever. Have you tried doing a trace route to make sure your ISP doesn't have a lossy router along the way? Perhaps it was just a breif reboot during an off-peak time or the like? These SMF forums have to be some of the fastest I've ever used to be quite honest. No noticable problems on this end.

Yeah the OSM forums, they have always been fine but this morning seem to be playing up.

I am not able to do a traceroot from where i am (work)

We are not experiencing traffic issues at the moment.. although we are getting plenty of traffic, the server is not over-loaded.
Perhaps there is an increase in latency via the route you are using/netwrok congestion.

We will, however, keep an eye on the situation.
