Hi,

I just noticed that the extensions site - http://extensions.joomla.org - uses a component called com_mtree. Does anyone know more about this component and if it is available to the general public?

I'd love to know more :)

The extension site use moset tree: http://www.mosets.com/tree/ which is donated and modified for joomla.org.

Marko,

Thanks for the info. I guess it has undergone some heavy customization :)

No customization has been done to the core codes. Most of the changes you see can be done through the Savant2 template using Plugins & Templates - it's pretty straight forward if you're comfortable with HTML & PHP :)

dknight,

thanks for the insight. i'll definitely use this component (if i can get my company to buy it ;) ). it looks pretty sleek.

i hadn't heard abt the savant template before. it seems like a neat template system. so, was the savant template used only for the extensions site or was it used for the entire joomla.org site?

thanks,
- V

The Savant template is only used by Mosets Tree. V, if you have any questions specific to Mosets Tree, feel free to drop me an e-mail here.

Mosets tree code in encrypted that's why i wouldn't use it although it does present well. How are they going to fair with the new Joomla licencing rules as a lot seem to be moving to Mambo as a result.
