"Editor's Pick" and "hot" meaning?

Good morning!
I´m looking for the meaning of "Editor's Pick" and "hot" label in Extensions (I think my english is really poor
), could anyone help me?

I suppose:
"Editor's Pick": extensions that the favorites of the editors / administrators of
http://extensions.joomla.org/"hot": extensions that are popular in the community (many downloads)

Editor's Picks serve as a great value to Joomla! users to spot great extensions from the directory. The editors hope this type of featured listing will also to be a catalyst for the continued development of elegant solutions for Joomla! To reduce biases, the editors of the directory gather feedback from the directory team to suggest and vote for Editor's Pick. There is generally only one Editor's Pick per category so that the main ranking is determined by user votes.
