aiaiaiaiai, this is a nightmare! An enormous add in the middle of the page! And to make it worse it appears to be of the worst joomla developer on earth. Please, save our forum and remove this.
Personally I would prefer not to have adds at all, but if the team thinks this is necessary than place normal sized adds in a side column.

lol!  tomt - you are now the third starter of this topic. i have the unfortunate label of being the #1 who started this. we need money. let me point you to the latest topic (i had mine closed because i was wrong.) so that you can review those postings and see if we covered it all or if more is needed!

Hi Amy, I just made my second donation  . And i installed AdBlock so I won't see them anymore. My post was straight from the heart, later I saw the other threads. I understand that money is essential for the Joomla project, but such a big add in the middle of the forum is just terrible.

And Joomla doesn't have influence on which adds are shown. The Mambo add was fun of course, but I don't think adds from a company where I bought three components which I had to replace because they were just worthless are fun  .

excellent on all counts. you have inspired me to make my second donation, as well. i know that your post was from the heart. good job, TomT.

And as I have said previously ggoogle ads are not the only option to raise finance but they are the option that casues most disruption to the layout of the site

I just donated and it wasn't much, but I wanted to give something.  I have no problem with the ads and I can't believe people are making a stink over this.  If the ads are there just scroll by them, no biggie!  Also, there are some like Phil Taylor, who have some very nice products and are usefull to some of us.
