Notes to new forge: categories,rating,downloads

Hi,
first, thanks all concerned people to new forge, looks very good. To get it best I have some my notes here.
First, I think that on old *forge had very bad category system and some other problems.There were too few categories, so e.g. category Modules had more than 200 projects, so that's very annoying go thought all that projects page by page. There were only 4 subcategories and all other modules such as Menus, Calendars and so on had not any subcategory.
And second problem looks to me how to efficiently search for what I need, if project tree is divided on top by Modules,Bots and Coms. Is that
functional for Joomla! users? Are users search like for e.g. 'I need new some module...' or rather than 'Hey, I need some picture gallery' ? I think that second way is right, so why project tree couldn't looks like this:
->Menus
->Templates
->Calendars
->Galleries->components
->Galleries->modules
->Galleries->zoomGallery->components
->Galleries->zoomGallery->modules
->Galleries->nextGallery->components
->Galleries->nextGallery->modules
Third is problem with activity percentile. By my opinion it is nothing that helps you to which project choose to your site, so I think that user rating will be much better, maybe some users comments too.
So my notes shortly:
1. Think about if top categories have to be Coms,Mods,Bots,Templates....maybe Galleries,Menus,Calendars will be better
2. Get much more subcategories for all main categories that in old *forge.
3. Allow users to rate projects and users comments and add 'Sort by Ratings' button in project category list.
4. Make better news list on SourceForge homepage. Maybe allow users to select news form one project category only.
5. Add download statistics visible for each release. Or is somewhere now? I didn't find it...
Again, thanks to your good job!
