To extension site moderators: improvements needed.

The extension site is really great but some really really important improvements for extension site needed!!!

1
users should be able to subscribe to the extension site, to be informed of new extensions added!

2
there should be a list of recently updated extensions, which one can also subscribe to!!! most important not having to search which of the used plugins have a new better version already!

3 maybe you could add an extra radio button checkbox fields for extension listing indicating whether it is plugin/component/module/ etc. or two or all for extensions that require comp and mambot and module. that way users could search specifically for modules or components or mambots

thx

Hi fabs,

Thanks for your feedback  :)

1. At the moment we cannot provide subscriptions, but we do provide a RSS-feed that will give you that same info.
  Try this link: http://extensions.joomla.org/index.php? ... com_mt_rss

2. We are aware that this is wished by several users. Might be a feature in future. No solution at the moment for that, sorry.

3. The listings all have indications by colored icons to show if its a component, module, plugin, language or tool. You can do a special search by using the 'Advanced search' option at top of the Extensions Directory. Using the advanced search let you search specific for tex. modules

It would be great if a user could change (or delete and repost) his/her own review.

For example if a user commented about a feature that is not supported in the newest release of an extension. Then there is confusing information within the review.

Maybe someone could mention the current procedure for this (until this feature maybe added to the extension site)

For the rest... It's very great to have this collection site !

Hi RoBo,

Thanks for your suggestion.

If a review made by you need to be edited or even removed, due to outdated or incorrect info, then please use the 'Report this listing' option for the given extension.

Include something like: My review "quote" needs to be deleted/changed. Reason: 'something here'.

Then it will be taken care of by the Editorial Team  :)
