Need a 'score' component

Hi,

I'm making a site for a non-profit amateur dance organization. We host competitions each year (several) and I need a component to display past and present scores.

Each group entering a contest receives a score. So I need to divide the scores in different levels:

- Year
- Contest
- Competition Class
- Group

It would be great if it would be searchable too. Anyone who has ideas of wants to do this, please e-mail me at [email protected]

I think you will have to adapt something else to fit your needs. My first thought would be to check out onwe of these sports extensions
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/

Perhaps the hockey extension would do the job.

Thanks. I'm looking at it right now. Will play with it a little so I can see if this is coming close or not

OK, that's not one that would be usable. I'll make a picture of the outcome:

Season: 2006

Contest: (Enter City name)
Date: 06-06-06

Open Class:
90,2 Team A
80,1 Team B
78,9 Team C
70,9 Team D

A-Class:
99,5 Team E
22,2 Team F

Etc.

Does that make it clearer?

It would be great if one could search on:

- Team
- Class
- Season

You may be able to custom build this using several existing form components.

http://extensions.joomla.org/component/ ... Itemid,35/

For example, you could use Facile Forms to enter the data, and DBQ to search and display data sets.  This may be a little more complicated that you would want, but it would certainly work.
