Donations, membership and GiftAid in UK

Great to see such an active forum for NPOs.
In the UK we can boost the value of donations, including membership subscriptions, using "Gift Aid". The donor makes a declaration (can be a tick box) confirming they are a UK tax payer, and allowing the NPO to receive the 'before tax' value of their donation - ie £10 becomes £13 roughly.
It would be great to see a donation component that handled this effectively, and produced the (fairly simple) records required by Inland Revenue to reclaim the Gift Aid.
I don't have the skills or the time to do this! Just wanted to flag it so if any one was developing such a component they were aware of Gift Aid.
We (http://www.che.ac.uk) currently use the donation service provided by Charities Aid Foundation and GiveNow.org.
cheers
