I noticed today that Joomla.org finally got ranked in alexa (19,539) . If you notice though joomla.com (traffic rank 477,932) and joomla.org have two seprate ranks. If all requests for joomla.com were redirected to joomla.org then that number could be significantly increased. Just a thought, don't know how concerned you guys are about alexa but it is a nice way of gathering some unaccesable (albeit theoretical) statistics about the site that log files can't reveal.

http://www.joomla.org is our main site, and the one we are 'marketing'. the .com is currently 'parked' on the .org It seems some search engines and users are using the .com to 'promote' the joomla site. Hence the reason you are seeing it listed in Alexa I think...

Yeah, I'm just thinking that will split up the alexa rank and the page rank as well, since people will be linking to either the .com or the .org instead of just one. I guess I'm worried that this will lower the chance of someone finding the site by chance (the way I found mambo to begin with, before the split) You could have apache just spit the person to
http://www.joomla.org or
http://www.joomla.com. Like with my site
http://www.primakaola.com (a common misspelling) takes you straight to
http://www.primakoala.com. Just something to think about. I understand the need for the .com as well as the .org in a marketing sense.
I don't 'think' you overused ' ' ' too 'much' however other 'people' might thinking you 'did'

I'd just like to say that Joomla's .org/.coms page rank finally appeared sometime this week. The org is at 8 and com is at 6. Yay!
