Forum on Joomla website?

Post by roboticsguy1988 » Tue Jul 18, 2006 1:42 am

What forum component is this? Or did you guys kind of make your own?  I like the layout and the polls features.  It seems kind of like Joomlaboard (Simpleboard), but has more features.  Any help would greatly be appreciated.

this is actually the SMF forum as standalone - it is not installed as a component in Joomla! as far as i am aware.

That's correct. There is no bridge between the SMF install here at the forums and the Joomla install at joomla.org. Likewise, all of the Joomla installs on dev, help and extensions sites are all separate installations.

i like the smf theme used in this forum very much. is this a public one so i may get it from somethere? oh, just read that this forum runs standalone so the theme propably will be with all the joomla-header things. does it? anyhow: i like to "inner-parts" of the template very much. is it possible to get it and maybe strip off the things around it so one can use it with the smf-bridge within a joomla site? whould be cool!  8)

cheers, marc

The "Humor, Fun and Games" forum has  more than 2500 Posts, so why not build a "Humor, Fun and Games Working" Group?
