Hi.
I would like to allow my students to make a simple personal page with their preferences, one photo, some links etc.
How can i do this?

There is a component called userhomepage that lets them do this. You set the number of images and it is basically a blank page on which they can do what they want. Unfortunately, the newer version is limited to 50 users, but if you can get the older version it works fine.


The other option is lmtg_myhomepage. It's more complex, but it does have better access control. However, I have had to customize it a lot.

WHy is it difficult ....

Well, it is a very complex program that does a lot of different things very powerfully. However, it also hasn't really been updated much, so a lot of problems have to be fixed yourself. For example, it is set up to use a specific editor that doesn't even exist anymore under the old name. Once you have it working, though, it works really well.

No. but it sounds good. I know the graphical yanc is supposedto be very good.
